Welcome

Welcome to Stokesley Primary School!

Mr Scott McFarlane, Headteacher

Welcome to our website. We have tried our best to give you a flavour of our school and what makes us feel our school is special. Stokesley Primary is both a happy place and one of high all round achievement.

Children and their rounded development are at the heart of our mission. We are equally proud of our sporting, artistic and academic prowess.

"Stokesley Community Primary School is a place where everyone has respect for themselves, others and their environment.  We foster a caring and creative environment where every child succeeds and is encouraged to be an independent learner".

We take our “Community” school title very seriously. We have a strong PTA and close links with other community provision. Within our campus we have a children’s centre, a before and after school care facility and a pre-school playgroup. We strongly promote our community campus approach and have been awarded a Leading Aspects award for our truly extended provision.

In September 2008 we opened our new Foundation Stage Unit and celebrated the centenary of our original opening. The unit accommodates our foundation stage pupils in specially designed and resourced areas relevant to the Foundation Stage “six areas of learning”. This practical “doing” approach to learning is something which we advocate working throughout all three Primary Key Stages. Through this approach we provide a skills based curriculum that is vibrant, meaningful and full of memorable experiences.

All our children are encouraged to achieve their very best. We have a strong commitment to inclusion with provision for every individual to enable them to maximise their potential in all areas of school life.

If you are interested in any aspect of our work do not hesitate to contact us and come to experience our school.
